2009 is a truly exceptional year.

So favourably aligned 25 years ago at the inception of the Song Company, the stars themselves are to be featured in a 25th Anniversary collaboration with our friend William Barton, the celebrated didgeridoo player. Kalkadunga Man will be presented all over Australia and overseas in 2009 and should send a powerful message about the future of music in this country in the new spirit of reconciliation.

In 2009 too, we pull out all the stops for the culmination of the Tenebrae project that throws a whole different light on what vocal music can be.

And yes, we are spreading our wings with significant tours to Europe and China, but most importantly, with a seriously enhanced national presence.

The Song Company has found generous support from the new Melbourne Recital Centre to create a Melbourne concert series, which, in addition to the ongoing series in Canberra and our return visits to Western Australia, amounts to a truly national network for the first time. Come along for the ride!
